Grandmaster Jang graduated first in her class with a major in Hapkido, and minors in Tae Kwon Do, Judo, Haedong Gumdo, Ssirum (Korean Wrestling), and boxing.
Grandmaster Jang was a member of the Korean Tigers (K-Tigers), All-Stars, and Korean Pro-Hapkido Demonstration Team.
Six years later, she entered the Hapkido program at the world renowned, Yong In University in Korea. Yong In is considered to be the best Martial Arts University in the World. Yong In produces Olympic caliper athletes every year.
Soon after starting her university training, Master Gak Su Lee suggest that she compete in E-Jong Kyuk Too Ki (Full Contact Fighting... MMA) also known as K-1 Fighting Championship. Grandmaster Jang competed from 1989 to 1991 and accumulated a record of 40 wins.
In 1991 she gave Hapkido lessons to high school students in Kyoto, Japan.
She retired from Full Contact Fighting Competition and returned to Yong In University to continue her studies. Grandmaster Jang graduated first in her class with a major in Hapkido, and minors in Tae Kwon Do, Judo, Haedong Gumdo, Ssirum (Korean Wrestling), and boxing.

In 1995, Grandmaster Jang came to the U.S. and taught at Hyun's Hapkido School.
In 2004 she opened her own school. Grandmaster Jang currently owns and operates her own school, Yong In Martial Arts

Grandmaster Jang was born in Seoul, South Korea. In 1977 she started training in Tae Kwon Do at Chung Do Kwan and received her First Degree Black Belt in 1979.
In 1983 she moved to Shin Lim dong and began her Hapkido training under Master Gak Su Lee.
